Hemp Seed Oil (Cannabis Sativa)
It is derived from the seed of the hemp plant (not to be confused with the marijuana plant), unlike CBD oil, which is derived from the leaves of the Hemp plant. It has no THC (a psychoactive compound that makes people 'high') and only near-zero traces of cannabidiol. Hempseed oil has been in use for a very long time in both skincare and cooking.
WHAT IT CONTAINS
It contains omega-6 fatty acids such as linoleic acid, gamma-linolenic acid, omega-3 fatty acids such as alpha-linolenic acid, and stearidonic acid. Further, it has phenolic compounds such as myrcene and alpha-tocopherol. It also contains vitamins B1, B2, D & E and minerals such as potassium, magnesium, iron, zinc, calcium, and phosphorus.
WHY WE CHOSE IT
Hemp Seed Oil protects the skin and, at the same time, makes it stronger to fight external attacks on its own. It promotes faster cell regeneration that helps repair broken skin (omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids) and fortifies it against future aggravations. It is an anti-bacterial (myrcene) and antioxidant agent (phenols) and reduces external stress on the skin to prevent further symptoms such as redness and itchiness.
