Since our last blog on Skincare Rituals for a Glowing Festive Look was so well-loved, many of you have reached out with follow-up questions about festive skincare. I thought, why not bring them all together in one place? So, I've gathered the most frequently asked questions from our lovely patrons over the years. I hope you find these answers helpful in enhancing your beauty routine, especially during this festive season.

And don't worry, I’ll keep updating this as more questions come in!

Q1: I have dry skin and wear makeup regularly. How can I take better care of my skin?
To keep your skin hydrated and ensure your makeup looks fresh, try adding 2-3 drops of Radiance Face Oil to your foundation. This trick nourishes the skin while keeping your makeup dewy all day long.

Q2: My makeup starts to look matte after a few hours. What should I do?
A hydrating oil or serum with antioxidants is your best friend. Dab a small amount onto your skin to bring back that dewy glow and give your makeup a fresh, radiant finish.

Q3: Why do I get breakouts after applying makeup, even though I have dry skin?
This can happen because your makeup brushes might be harboring bacteria, which can cause breakouts. It’s important to clean your brushes regularly to prevent bacterial buildup and protect your skin.

Q4: Why is it important to wash off makeup at night?
Sleeping with makeup on can clog your pores, leading to enlarged pores, breakouts, and accelerated aging (up to five times faster!). Always make sure to cleanse thoroughly before bed.

Before I sign off, here’s a little reminder of the essential skincare products every makeup enthusiast should have in her beauty bag:

  • Oil-based cleanser + Water-based cleanser (for a double cleanse that removes all traces of makeup)
  • Exfoliator – Whether you prefer a scrub or a peel, exfoliation is key.
  • Hydrating + Antioxidant-loaded cream/serum/oil to lock in moisture and protect your skin.
  • Sunscreen (because healthy skin starts with sun protection!).

As you get ready to enjoy the festivities, remember that glowing skin is always the best accessory. If you have more skincare questions, I’m just a message away. Keep shining and stay gorgeous throughout the celebrations!
